Konstantin, born in 1996 in Vienna, started sailing in the Optimist at the age of six. From the age of nine years on, he has been sailing competitively. With 15 years, he changed to the 420 class, participated in the European and world championships and was part of the Austrian youth national team. Later he became a trainer himself.
Konstantin’s biggest challenges in sailing were the one and a half year long preparations and the participation in the Youth America’s Cup with an AC45 catamaran on the Bermuda Islands in 2017. This allowed him to get to know the pro-sports segment of sailing and gave him the will to strive for a career in the international sailing world. Currently, he works as a sailing trainer alongside sailing match races and Moth regattas. Besides the sport, he is a student of mechanical engineering.
“This project is a huge chance for me to make my life’s dream come true.”
