Anna was born in 1996 in Salzburg and started sailing in the Optimist at the age of seven. In her youth, she gained various big successes in the Zoom8 class and in the 420 class, such as 3rd place at in the European championships 2012 and 5th place in the world championships 2012 (Zoom8), as well as Austrian state champion in the 420 class. In 2014, Anna switched to the Olympic boat class 49er FX, started sailing for the Austrian national team and participated in world cup regattas as well as in European and world championships. Due to a severe knee injury in 2017, Anna was forced to quit her Olympic carreer. Since then she has been sailing in the Austrian Bundesliga and the Championsleague as a part of the team of UYC Wolfgangsee. Beside her studies in human resource management, she works as a sailing instructor for kids.
